Tupik Mi Film

Tupik: Inuit Ink

is a documentary film about self-discovery, friendship, art, and women of the Arctic (re)claiming cultural and personal territory. The creative vehicle for the film is traditional Inuit tattooing, or
tupik. This long-suppressed and virtually extinguished practice has recently enjoyed an upsurge of interest. Tupik: Inuit Ink documents the efforts and experiences of two women who are driving forces behind this revitalization: Holly Mititquq Nordlum (Alaska) and Maya Sialuk Jacobsen (Greenland).
